Growing Moringa in Kiambu

Soil suitability analysis based on Kiambu's nutrient profile

Kiambu County is a challenging environment for Moringa (soil-match score 43/100) and will need significant amendment before planting. At an average pH of 5.28 the soil is moderately acidic, below Moringa's preferred 6–8 range; agricultural lime will lift pH and unlock phosphorus the crop cannot otherwise access. Moringa's full potential is about 4,000 kg/acre (~KES 400,000/acre at KES 100/kg), but at Kiambu's 43/100 suitability a realistic target here is closer to 2,150 kg/acre (~KES 215,000/acre) unless the constraints above are addressed.
